Gov. Umahi's New Year Message

GOVERNOR UMAHI'S NEW YEAR MESSAGE TO EBONYIANS:

I, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, on behalf of my family, government and the good people of Ebonyi State most sincerely congratulate us on the many successes recorded in the year 2019.

Our story as Ebonyi people is such that sends tendrils down one's chin even as it is full of courage, hope and success of a people once battered, tatarred and buffeted up and down.

Through providence, we have scaled hurdles to get our present state - from being pitied to being envied by many.

I must commend very highly your faith and confidence in us, for believing that through us, God can take our state to her desired height and destination.

We are indeed grateful and very indebted to you for your support.

The year 2019 was full of success stories as our state gained global visibility through various cross fertilisation of ideas and technology transfer between us and some Asian giants -China and India. The building of several uncommon projects like the Ecumenical Center, the waste to wealth plant, the many concrete roads which promise to last beyond 50 years, the International market, the Muhammadu Buhari Glass Tunnel, the shopping mall, the College of Medicine, the birth of International Airport and the Olympic Stadium, the newly approved Federal College of Education, the transformation of Ebonyi in general etc.

We also made much progress in virtually all areas of interest - manufacturing, technologies, Agriculture, Education etc.

As we enter into the new year, we can't help but solicit more of your prayers, support and encouragement as we steady the ship of governance of our dear Ebonyi State by consolidating on our many projects on ground.

Our prayer is that the Almighty God should bless, guide and protect us in the New Year, Amen.

Happy New Year Ndi Ebonyi.

His Excellency, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi
Governor of Ebonyi State.
1st January, 2020.
